The Institute of Brewers Scottish Section have their 7th Home Brew Competition & Exhibition coming up on the 9th of March. The competition provides home brewers with an opportunity to pitch their beers against those of other enthusiasts, have them judged by industry experts & gain feedback from the public.

As we have done in the past we have signed up as one of the event's sponsors & the judging (tough job but someone has got to do it). Previous finalists/winners of the competition have come to brew their winning recipes with us here: Profanity Stout brewed by Peter & Craig (Middleton, who went on to set up Cromarty Brewing Co) and also Impale IPA by Ed Young have even gone on to join our "Chapeau Series" of beers. This year shall see us brew with whoever places 2nd in the competition.
