It's that time of year again where we start to hear the cries for 1 litre Growlers (re-useable swing-top bottles) of our Nollaig.
For those who are not familiar with the beer, Nollaig is our festive spruce IPA, made from a combination of big USA hops & spruce tips (yes, you heard right, it's basically a Christmas tree IPA). These are layered on a complex malt bill that provides a nice sweet back bone to support the bold flavours of the punchy hops and spruce. The resulting beer is tawny in colour with aromas of ever-green forrest, red berries, citrus & caramel. Full bodied with a big resinous hop/spruce bite, rich in berry & caramel flavours it is sure to invigorate the senses. Weighing in at 7% ABV it is great for warming the insides & sharing with friends, family or loved ones.
There are approximately 500 of the swing tops available, these are all packaged & labelled by hand (actually all by my hands this year) and bottle conditioned here in Kelliebank. This is proper hands-on brewing and putting extra craft into this limited annual release!
They will be making their way out into independent bottle shops across Scotland next week. All the usual independents you find stocking our brews, stocks are limited and so we will have to share them out fairly amongst accounts, so far the following are signed up for an allocation: Valhalla's Goat, The Cave, Good Spirits, Billington's, Ellie's Cellar, Beerhive, Cornelius, Royal Mile Whiskies, Fine Wines (Portobello & Musselburgh). We shall add more as they are confirmed.
Unfortunately as stocks are low and the swing tops don't travel well via courier we will not be shipping the growlers via our online store, however there are cases of the 33cl bottles available from our webstore.
